About the Role
As an integral part of our Tauranga-based team, you will directly engage with clients, Account Managers, and other technical team members, providing hands-on IT support and strategic guidance. This role is ideal for a capable and confident IT Systems Engineer who can translate technical solutions into practical business outcomes that support our clients’ success and contribute to strong long-term partnerships. Your proactive style, coupled with a friendly and approachable demeanour, will enable you to deliver exceptional service while embodying the values and professionalism that Elite is known for.
We’re especially looking for someone who is confident with modern Microsoft cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Automate. While this role still requires a solid generalist IT background, your ability to identify and implement automation and collaboration improvements for clients will be a key asset. We are increasingly helping clients streamline workflows using Power Automate and want to build further capability in this area.
You’ll also occasionally support our Remote Services team with first- and second-line requests during busy periods to help maintain our high level of responsiveness.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure the stability and efficiency of clients’ IT environments under support agreements.

Assume full responsibility for IT projects, driving them from initiation to completion with a focus on achieving defined outcomes.

Offer immediate and effective technical support for service calls and tickets, ensuring high client satisfaction.

Monitor and promptly respond to alerts through our ticketing system, RMM, and backup monitoring systems, minimizing downtime and potential disruptions.

Collaborate with the Service Delivery Lead and Account Managers on escalations, ensuring a cohesive approach to problem resolution.

Maintain meticulous client IT documentation, ensuring a reliable basis for ongoing support and seamless communication.

Foster strong, enduring relationships with clients, placing their satisfaction and service quality at the forefront of your efforts.

Address and manage IT issues proactively and reactively, with a commitment to continually enhancing our clients’ IT environments.

Ensure open and ongoing communication with clients and the team, fostering an environment of transparency and mutual understanding.
Key Attributes

A solid IT foundation backed by at least 5 years of experience, along with relevant degrees or certifications.

Proven experience supporting modern SMB IT environments including hybrid cloud setups, Microsoft 365, user devices, and networking equipment

Demonstrated proficiency with complex networks and virtualization technology.

Advantageous experience includes familiarity with ConnectWise Manage/Automate/ScreenConnect, IT Glue, HP servers/desktops/notebooks, Datto BCDR & StorageCraft, and proficiency in Microsoft Cloud technologies.

Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including tools like Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and Teams
